Leslie Flores
“We needed someone who would be able to translate the practice of hospital medicine to a business model that would be easy to understand. Ms. Flores has demonstrated remarkable skill at educating us on these issues.”
Christine Lum Lung, MD Medical Director Northern Colorado Hospitalists, LLC Fort Collins, CO

Leslie Flores, MHA, SFHM

Leslie Flores lends a healthcare administrator’s perspective to the consulting practice, having served in executive-level positions in hospital operations, physician practice development and managed care. She has practiced as a healthcare management consultant since 1999.

Ms. Flores is adept at analyzing data, developing operating projections and building business plans and financial pro formas, and she understands both the benefits and the challenges of hospitalist practice from an administrator’s perspective. In addition to her work in hospitalist practice management consulting, Ms. Flores’ experience includes extensive work in management and leadership development, leadership coaching, retreat facilitation, conflict mediation, and team-building in healthcare settings.

Ms. Flores is active in the Society of Hospital Medicine, where she serves as an informal advisor for practice management issues. Since 2008 she has co-led SHM’s biennial surveys of hospital medicine groups, from survey design through analysis and writing of the resulting State of Hospital Medicine report. She also serves as course co-director for SHM’s one-day practice management course, as facilitator for the Society’s Multi-Site Leaders Special Interest Group, and as a member of the blogging team for SHM’s official blog The Hospital Leader.

An active member of Grace Chapel Indio, where she sings (and occasionally plays guitar) on the worship team, Ms. Flores is committed to living out her love for Jesus in all aspects of her life.
