Leslie Flores, MHA lends a healthcare administrator’s perspective to the consulting practice, having served in executive-level positions in hospital operations, physician practice development and managed care. She has practiced as a healthcare management consultant since 1999.
Ms. Flores is adept at analyzing data, developing operating projections and building business plans and financial pro formas, and she understands both the benefits and the challenges of hospitalist practice from an administrator’s perspective.
Ms. Flores is active in the Society of Hospital Medicine, serving as its senior advisor for practice management. In this role she coordinates the society's practice management education, resources and initiatives, and works with various member committees. Ms. Flores oversees SHM's annual compensation and production survey process conducted in collaboration with the Medical Group Management Association, and writes the annual survey report, State of Hospital Medicine. She also served as coordinating writer for SHM's 2006 white paper, Measuring Hospitalist Performance: Metrics, Reports and Dashboards and serves as course co-director for SHM's one-day practice management and documentation/coding courses.
